Great discoveries are born from mistakes. I wanted to innovate a nachos recipe, make it gluten free and healthier, that is, not fried, but baked in the oven. Here are the ingredients I used:
Ingrediente
- One tablespoon of psyllium bran soaked in half a cup of water
- A carrot grated on a small grater
- A grated teaspoon of salt
- A teaspoon of sweet and hot paprika, mixed
- Half a teaspoon of ground rosemary
- Half a teaspoon of garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 spoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of flax seeds soaked at least an hour before
- Millet flour as much as possible to make a sticky dough, good to roll out with a rolling pin
Method of preparation
I made the dough from all the above ingredients, I spread it directly on the baking paper which I then placed in the tray, I portioned the nachos pieces with the tip of the knife, and when I put the tray in the oven I realized I forgot to put in the flax seeds. I had nothing else to do with them, I should have thrown them away, so I thought I’d put them on top of the dough. Flax seeds soaked for at least an hour turn into a gelatinous thing, so they adhere to the dough nicely, they don’t come off before you eat them, they are crunchy, with a ripe nutty taste. Very good. If I don’t brag about it myself, who will?
